Ember guards your battery against fire
Temperature sensor with app for your e-bike battery
Ember gets to know your battery. How warm it gets while charging and how quickly it cools down. Every reading is compared with that pattern. If your battery’s temperature changes, you’ll know.

Warmer than normal
Your battery is getting warmer than normal. Is it charging? Unplug the charger from the wall.
Right on your battery
Ember is designed for the most common e-bike batteries, both flat and round. The fit has been tested on a range of brands and models.
Click on. Take off easily
You stick a magnetic sticker near the battery, just once. Then you simply click Ember on and take it off just as easily.
One overview in the app
Ember measures every few minutes, from the outside. The app shows the current temperature, the status and the trend per day, week and month.
A notification when something’s off
Is your battery warming up faster than Ember is used to? Then you’ll get a notification telling you what to do.
An alarm when it overheats
If it overheats, Ember and your phone sound an alarm, even when your phone is on silent. No response? Then your emergency contacts are notified. Ember warns you, but doesn’t stop the charging itself.

Frequently asked questions
Ember can’t guarantee 100% that a fire will be prevented. Ember detects as early as possible that something is going wrong with your battery, so you can step in in time.
Ember first learns how your battery normally behaves, for example how warm it gets while charging and at rest. Ember doesn’t just look at what is happening now, but also at where it’s heading. Ember’s prediction model recognises patterns that often come before a battery fire. That way Ember can see a dangerous situation coming, often before there is any smoke or fire. That gives you time to step in.
Ember measures the surface temperature of your battery. It also measures the ambient temperature.

Ember has its own battery. You charge it about once every three months with the USB-C cable in the box.
